We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it and how we protect it.

1. What we collect
- Links you create: destination URL, short code, creation and expiry dates.
- Aggregated click data: click counts, approximate country (network layer), browser type and referrer — without storing full IP addresses in analytics.
- Account data (paid plans): email address and billing details.
2. How we use it
- Running the shortening and redirect service and showing analytics.
- Protecting the service against phishing, malware and abuse.
- Managing subscriptions, support and billing.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with essential infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare for hosting and networking) and where legally required.
4. Cookies & local storage
We use local storage only for your preferences (language and theme), and a secure session cookie when signed in. No tracking ads.
5. Retention & rights
You can request deletion of your links and account at legal@comm.ly. We retain records only as long as needed to run the service and comply with law.
6. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the updated date here.
